Perpetual training for professional enhancement deepens the sense of military employability and serves as a primary source that streamlining the administrative functions of the Volunteer Force. In alignment with the objectives of enhancing knowledge, efficiency, and professionalism that standardizing administrative procedures, yet another training programme was successfully concluded on 22 May 2025 at the Headquarters SLAVF under the initiatives of Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF).
The workshop took place on 21 and 22 May 2025 for the Commanding Officers and the Liaison Officers of the Volunteer Force notably raising awareness on the event content.
A homage is paid for Major General B M R J Bandara – Deputy Commandant, Brigadier B J Lekamge RSP KSP - Inspector of Training, Brigadier H A Keerthinatha RSP KSP psc - Brigadier Administration, Colonel B C K Ferdinandez USP - Colonel Legal, Colonel T S B R Fernando - the Colonel Training, Col I U K Waththegedara – Recruiting Officer and Major K D M Kumarasiri - Staff Officer 1 (Finance) of the Volunteer Force being resource persons throughout the workshop.
An inspirational key note made by the Deputy Commandant addressed the core insights of the scheduled programme and marked the fruitful culmination of the scheduled workshop.
In recognition of commitment, participation and active engagement, participants were awarded with certificates by the Deputy Commandant SLAVF who accompanied by the Colonel Training SLAVF marking the conclusion of a perceptive and enriching workshop. The certificate awarding ceremony was attended by Senior Officers and Officers of the Volunteer Force.
The Deputy Commandant, SLAVF highly acknowledged the presence and the effort that have been made by the participants, the General Staff Branch and the staff of the Headquarters, SLAVF and urged them to continue to foster a culture of learning and excellence that contributes to creating a Professional Army.
