THE COMMANDANT OF THE VOLUNTEER FORCE VISITS THE 2ND (VOLUNTEER) BATTALION OF THE SRI LANKA SINHA REGIMENT

Major General B K G M L Rodrigo RSP psc IG - the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) visited the 2 ^nd (Volunteer) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment ( 2 (V) SLSR), an active counterpart and a pioneering deployment in the Sri Lanka Army, on 09 November 2024.

The Commandant SLAVF was warmly received by Major A M D S Thilakarathna - the Commanding Officer of the 2 (V) SLSR.

The visit was primarily scheduled to witness the present delegations of the battalion. In meeting with the centerpiece in the day’s itinerary, the senior officer visited the camp premises, and arrived with necessary imperatives on the subjective issues of the battalion.

The senior officers, officers and other ranks who represented the Volunteer Force and the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment attended the occasion.
