60TH SRI LANKA ARMY ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIP

The 60th Sri Lanka Army Athletics Championship was successfully concluded on 18th, 19th and 20th of August 2025 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama. Lieutenant General BKGML Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The Athletes of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) exhibited outstanding skills, discipline and unwavering determination throughout the Championship. 24 regiments were contested for the men’s category and SLASC Men’s team secured a commendable 3rd place with an overall score of 164 points. In the women’s Championship, 05 regiments were contested and the SLASC Women’s team emerged as the Runners-up with 212 points. Further, SLASC Women’s athletics team distinguished by victories in both Relay Championship and Track Event Championship, bringing great pride and honor to the regiment.
