NEW SLASC COLONEL COMMANDANT TAKES OVER DUTIES

Major General EMGA Ambanpola assumed duties as the 26th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) on 12 March 2025 at Regimental Centre, Panagoda

The incoming Colonel Commandant was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. A ceremonial parade of the SLASC troops afterwards saluted him at the parade square.

Amid chanting of 'Seth Pirith' by members of the Maha Sangha, the new Colonel Commandant signed an official document, signifying the acceptance of the new appointment.

Adding memories to the day, Major General EMGA Ambanpola, planted a Sandalwood sapling in the compound and posed for a few group photographs. Culminating the day’s agenda, he participated in an All-Rank tea at the Regimental Centre - SLASC. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks took part in the day’s agenda.

Major General EMGA Ambanpola is currently holding the appointment as the Commander Logistics Command, Security Forces Headquarters (West).
