SLASC BIDS FAREWELL TO OUTGOING COLONEL COMMANDANT

Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) bade farewell to outgoing Master General Ordnance of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Major General AK Rajapakse RSP, on 11 March 2025, in a formal ceremony held at the Regimental Centre of SLASC.

The Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Brigadier SDNC de Silva, upon his arrival. Subsequently, the outgoing Colonel Commandant was greeted in a Guard Turnout at the main entrance.

Later on, he was accorded a Ceremonial Parade at the parade square and he posed for a few group photographs with the Senior Officers/ Officers. The Senior Officer interacted with the troops in a tea at the Other Ranks’ Mess.

In the evening, a farewell dinner was hosted in honour of the retiring Senior Officer with the participation of Officers and their spouses. Brigadier SDNC de Silva, the Centre Commandant of SLASC delivered the farewell note, expressing deep gratitude for the retiring Senior Officer's exemplary service. In response, Major General AK Rajapakse RSP extended his compliment to Officers and Other Ranks for the unwavering support throughout his military career.

Mementos were presented in appreciating the retiring Senior Officer’s service rendered to the SLASC. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of SLASC took part in those formalities.
