The Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Inter-Battalion Cricket Championship – 2025 was successfully organized by the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps under the guidance of the Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Major General KTP de Silva RSP ndu psc and the supervision of the Centre Commandant Brigadier DPK Gamage RSP USP psc ptsc.
The tournament was conducted to commemorate the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps 76 Anniversary, with the primary objective of promoting sportsmanship, fostering unity, and identifying skilled within the Corps. It also aimed to provide a platform for servicemen to display their sporting talents in a competitive and disciplined environment. The championship commenced on 23 September 2025 and concluded on 22 October 2025, featuring a series of exciting encounters among battalion teams of the Corps. Following an intense and competitive series of matches, the 6 SLASC Cricket team emerged as Champions, while the RHQ SLASC Cricket team secured the Runners-up. S/Sgt Sunil Shantha J M was awarded the Man of the Match title for his exceptional performance during the final encounter.
The grand finale was held at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama, under the distinguished patronage of Major General H A M Premaratne ndc psc Lsc, Commander Logistics Command, Security Forces Headquarters (West), who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was witnessed by the Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers, and a large gathering of Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre. The championship concluded on a high note, strengthening the esprit of the Corps and highlighting the sporting excellence of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps.
