SLASC OFFICERS' TRAINING DAY

SLASC Officers' training day for the first quarter of year 2025 was successfully conducted at the Regimental Centre SLASC on 11 February 2025 (Tuesday) with the participation of The Colonel Commandant SLASC, The Commander Logistics Command SFHQ (West), Director Supply and Transport, Brigadier (Logistics) SLAVF, The Cen Comdt RHQ SLASC, Brigadier (Admin & Quartering) - SFHQ (East) and many Senior Officers and other Officers of the (Battalions, Directorate of Supply and Transport, Independent Transport Squadron, Independent Supply Depot, Catering Battalion) SLASC.

The days’ training commenced with a physical training session and then all Officers had a guest lecture on the ‘Officer's Discipline’ conducted by WO I KRA Senevirathne (Rtd), who had served as an ‘Academy Sergeant Major’ in the Sri Lanka Military Academy – Diyatalawa for several years. It was followed by a very informative lecture on ‘Electronic Government Procurement’ procedure by Colonel VD Warushavithana ato, presently serving as the Colonel (Master General Ordnance).

The highlights of the evening were the recreation session, having a cricket match and a lectures on ‘Stress Management and Balanced Life’ conducted by renowned lecturer on the subject, Mrs. Anoma Dissanayake at the Officers’ Mess RHQ SLASC as a Diners Club, before the interactive session thereafter, followed by the dinner.
