PROVIDING SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO THE CHILDREN OF OTHER RANKS AND CIVIL EMPLOYEES SERVING AT THE 2(V) SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS UNIT

In line with the 2025 annual program series of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, and coinciding with the celebration of World Children’s Day 2025, the 2(V) Sri Lanka Army Service Corps organized a program to distribute school supply packs,including school books and other stationery to the children of Other Ranks and Civil Employees serving in the unit, who passed the 2024 G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination,Passed the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, and scheduled to enter Grade 1 in 2026.

In addition, uniform kits were presented to the Civil Employees serving in the unit.A laptop computer was also awarded to the daughter of a Civil Employee who achieved nine A grades at the 2024 G.C.E. (O/L) Examination.

The event was held on 19 October 2025 at the 2(V) Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Unit, Katunayake, with the participation of Mrs. Ajantha de Silva, the Honorable Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch.

The event was also graced by the presence of Major General KTP de Silva RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General of the Sri Lanka Army Headquarters and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Senior Officers, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, the Commanding Officer of the 2(V) SLASC Unit, other Officers.

The program concluded successfully with the active participation and cooperation of all attendees.
