NEWLY-PROMOTED BRIGADIERS RECEIVE HONOURS FROM SLASC

Brigadier RL Panditharatna Lsc and Brigadier GTC Madurawala USP QLCO, who were recently promoted to the rank of Brigadier, were felicitated by the Regtl Cen SLASC for the first time in the history of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, during a formal courtesy call held with Major General KTP de Silva RSP ndu psc, Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) on 27 August 2025 at the Regimental Centre, SLASC.

In keeping with military traditions, the newly promoted Senior Officers were accorded a Guard Turnout upon their arrival. The programme commenced with commemorative proceedings at the War Heroes’ Monument, followed by an address delivered to Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks. During the address, newly promoted Senior Officers emphasized the importance of professional excellence, unity, and cooperation in strengthening the Corps and the Army at large.

The event concluded with a cordial interaction at the All Ranks tea, held at the RHQ SLASC, where the Officers and Soldiers extended their best wishes to the newly promoted Brigadiers. Further, family members of the newly promoted Brigadiers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended to the event.
