INAUGURATION OF NEWLY CONSTRUCTED WO’s AND SGT’s MESS DINING HALL OF THE 2 (V) SLASC

The opening ceremony of the newly constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess dining hall of the 2nd Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, which proudly boasts a legacy of 107 years, was ceremonially declared open by Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Major General K T P de Silva RSP ndu psc on 19 September 2025.

This building was constructed at a cost of Rs: 5.6 million, also comprises a TV room and the dining hall provided seating facilities for 50 SNCOs at a time.

In parallel with the event, a newly constructed large-scale mural of the unit was unveiled on the same day by Brig N Mahawithana KSP, Brig (Coord) - SFHQ (Central).
