THE COLONEL COMMANDANT VISITS 8TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS

Major General KTP de Silva RSP ndu psc Adjutant General of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps conducted an official visit to the 8 Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps at Diyatalawa on 20 September 2025.

The Colonel Commandant was welcomed in a guard turnout, followed by a plantain of sapling, group photograph and briefing by the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel WMCK Jayakody Lsc on the regiments duties and ongoing projects.

Addressing the troops the Colonel Commandant emphasized discipline, resilience and ethical conduct as essential values of both personal and national progress specially he highlighted the important of soldiers to support the Clean Sri Lanka programme which is initiated by the Government. Furthermore, he advised the soldiers to carry out their duties in related to supply and transport with a strong sense of responsibility.

After the troop address, The Colonel Commandant visited WOs' and Sgt Mess, Supply Sqn, GT Sqn, Seva Vanitha Yoghurt project, Shooting Shop, Bakery, Equestrian Sqn and finally he signed the visitor’s book at Officers Mess 8 SLASC.
