AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS TO PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS OF THE 7TH SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS

A scholarship program was held on 20 September 2025 to assist 13 drivers who are serving at 7th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps and currently hold only civil light vehicle driving licenses, to obtain civil heavy vehicle driving licenses.

The event took place at the 3rd Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Thissawewa Camp, under the patronage of the President of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Ajantha De Silva. Members of the SLASC Seva Vanitha Branch, Senior Officers, and the Commanding Officer of the 7th SLASC were present and the program concluded successfully.

In parallel with the scholarship program, an awareness lecture on breast cancer prevention and eraly delection , conducted by the Cancer Society, was organized with the intention of enhancing health consciousness and promoting the overall well being of the troops and their family members.
