THE 5TH SRI LANKA ARMY SERVICE CORPS CELEBRATES 26TH ANNIVERSARY

The 5th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps celebrated its 26th Anniversary on 10th December 2024 under the guidance of Major ERS De Silva LSC SLASC, Commanding Officer 5 SLASC. By giving prominence religious observances troops arranged a Bodi Puja Pinkama at the camp premises on 15th November 2024 and religious programs at Uduvil Sri Sivagnana Pillayar Hindu Kovil and St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Ottapuram on 22nd and 23rd November 2024 respectively, In accordance with military traditions, a ceremonial guard turnout and a guard of honour were presented to the Commanding Officer of 5th SLASC on 10th December 2024. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer addressed the troops and joined with an All Rank lunch. Further, inter squadron soft ball cricket tournament as well as volley ball tournament were organized in parallel to the anniversary celebration. Moreover, an Anniversary Musical Night took place on 13th December 2024 and Major General AK Rajapaksha RSP, the Master General Ordnance, AHQ and the Colonel Commandant of SLASC graced the event as the Chief Guest.
