SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY MEDICAL CORPS PROVIDES PROMPT ASSISTANCE TO CYCLONE ‘DITWAH’–AFFECTED STAFF MEMBERS

A financial donation of Rs. 1,056,000.00 was provided to 104 members (Officers, Other Ranks, and civilian staff) of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) who were affected by Cyclone Ditwah as of 11.12.2025, offering immediate assistance to meet their urgent needs. The donation ceremony was held at the Regimental Headquarters of the SLAMC under the guidance of the Security Forces Commander (Wanni) and Colonel Commandant of the SLAMC, Major General KMPSB Kulathunga RSP ndc psc, and under the leadership of the Vice President of the SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch, Dr (Mrs) Ayesha Premaratne, with the participation of SLAMC Seva Vanitha members.

The Centre Commandant of the SLAMC, Brigadier APADD Dharmakeerthi RWP RSP USP psc ptsc, symbolically received the cheque from Dr (Mrs) Ayesha Premaratne, the Vice President of the SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch, marking the official donation. The donated funds are intended for distribution among SLAMC personnel affected by the cyclone, enabling direct transfers to their respective accounts.

This generous contribution to the affected members was made possible through the dedication and commitment of the Vice President and members of the SLAMC Seva Vanitha Branch, reflecting their continued commitment to the welfare of SLAMC personnel and their families.
