On 06 November 2025, the 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps had the distinct honour of receiving a momentous official inspection from the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Major General KMPSB Kulatunga RSP ndc psc
Upon arrival, the visiting Colonel Commandant was accorded a Guard Turnout in accordance with military traditions followed by an extensive briefing by Commanding Officer and a group photograph to memorialize the visit. Moreover, he conducted a comprehensive inspection of administrative areas, accommodation blocks and welfare projects within the unit premises
Addressing troops, the Colonel Commandant commended the steadfast commitment, professionalism and discipline maintained by all ranks of 5 of Sri Lanka Medical Corps when contributing to the national service. Further, he emphasized perpetuating good standards of living of all Medical Corps personnel and his commitment to understanding the ground realities of all units.
The Colonel Commandant signed the visitor's book, officially marking the consummation of the visit. This official review was a great source of motivation and pride to the 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and a memorable occasion in the unit's history.
