On 04 September 2025, the 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps had the distinct honour of receiving a momentous official visit from the Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps Brigadier A P A D D Dharmakeerthi RWP RSP USP psc ptsc.
This high-level official inspection shadowed a standard military protocol commenced with a ceremonial drive – pass as a marking of respect, followed by an extensive briefing by Commanding Officer, a group photograph to commemorate the visit and an edifying tour around the camp premises.
The troop address by the Centre Commandant reflected his commitment to understanding the ground realities of all units and his dedication to the welfare and professional development of every Medical Corps personnel. Moreover, he focused on perpetuating highest standards of discipline and professional ethics emphasizing the critical role of Medical Corps towards the Sri Lanka Army.
The Centre Commandant signed the visitor’s book, officially marking the consummation of the visit. This official inspection was a great source of motivation and pride to the 5 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps.
