Support Extended to Expectant Mothers Preparing for the Sacred Journey of Motherhood

In line with a concept envisioned by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, together with the Honorable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, a humanitarian welfare programme was conducted for expectant mothers.

Accordingly, a maternity clothing donation programme was successfully carried out on 24 December 2025 at the Castle Street Hospital for Women, Colombo. During the programme, essential clothing items were distributed among 100 expectant mothers receiving treatment at the hospital.

The required clothing for this charitable initiative was provided through the generous contributions of the Miss Ravisha Sonali Abeywardena, coordinated and organized by the Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Light Infantry.

President of Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Darshani Yahapath, Senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Staff Officers of Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regimental, along with officers and Other Rank were participated for the programme.
