In a heartfelt initiative aimed at supporting our valiant war heroes, a housing assistance project is being carried out under the guidance and direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army and the Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, along with the honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath.
This commendable programme focuses on providing financial and labour assistance for the completion of partially built houses of Army personnel and civil servents who have been unable to complete construction of their own homes due to financial constraints.
Accordingly, the construction of the house belonging to S/5D03081 L/Cpl Dharmapriya AWPS of the 5th Bn SLLI, was successfully completed through the financial sponsorship of the Seva Vanitha branch and the labour contribution of 5(V) SLLI. The house was ceremonially handed over on 13 July 2025, in the presence of the Commanding Officer of the 5(V) SLLI and senior representatives of the Seva Vanitha branch.
