HOUSING PROJECT FOR ACTIVE SERVICE WAR HEROES IMPLEMENTED BY SLLI

Under the guidance of the Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, and with the supervision of the Chairperson of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Darshanee Yahampath, a housing project has been initiated to support war heroes currently in active service who have not completed the construction of their houses.

This initiative is jointly supported by the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch through financial assistance, while respective battalions provide labour support to ensure the successful completion of the houses.

As part of the second phase of the project, a newly constructed house for S/330818 L / Cpl Harshana TKM was ceremonially declared open on 21 April 2025 by the President of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch. The occasion was graced by senior members of the SLLI Seva Vanitha Branch, along with Deputy Centre Commandant RHQ SLLI, senior officers and other ranks from the 19th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
