NEW CENTRE COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA LIGHT INFANTRY ASSUMES DUTIES

Brigadier JKRP Jayasinghe RWP RSP USP assumed duties as the new Centre Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, during a brief ceremony held on 06 May 2024 amidst religious observances and military formalities.

The newly appointed Centre Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Centre Commandant and Staff Officers and greeted in a Guard Turnout and a ceremonial parade by troops of the Regiment. Afterwards, he signed an official document, symbolizing the formal acceptance of the office amidst the blessings of the Maha Sangha. In addition to that, the Centre Commandant participated to the events of Wreath-laying at the War Heroes Monument, Troops address followed by the All Ranks tea.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the ceremony.
