Under the guidance and direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc and the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Darshani Yahampath, A monetary donation of Rs. 100,000.00 was made on 13 January 2026 at the 5(V) SLLI camp premises. This donation is intended to facilitate the construction of a bathroom to meet the sanitary needs of the fully disabled son of S/D101978 L/Cpl Dissanayake DN of the 5(V) SLLI.
The construction of the said bathroom was carried out with the labour contribution of the troops of the respective unit.
The event was patronised by the Honourable Chairperson along with senior members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, the Deputy Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre and the other senior officers.
