IPSOTSL is a prestigious institute of Sri Lanka dedicated to    training of peacekeepers for employment in all types of UNPSO (UN   Peace Support Operations). This institute fulfils the requirement   of UNDPKO as per General Assembly resolution which outlines 'the   necessity and responsibility of every nation to train their armed forces   before any deployment under the flag of United Nations.

United Nations Military Observers’ Course (UNMOC) - No 03 sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) was concluded on 22 November 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.

VISIT OF THE DIRECTOR, ENGINEER SERVICES TO INSTITUTE OF PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS TRAINING SRI LANKA

Brigadier Y K S Rangika psc ptsc Director, Engineer Services made his maiden visit to Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 22 November 2024. On arrival at the IPSOTSL, he was warmly welcomed by Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc, the Commandant, IPSOTSL. Subsequently, the Chief Instructor, IPSOTSL, Lt Col S S A Wijearthna RSP USP psc GR conducted a presentation to brief the infrastructure facilities of IPSOTSL. Subsequently, the Senior Officer witnessed the ongoing infrastructure development projects in the institute premises.

HUMAN RIGHTS AND INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN LAW ADVANCE COURSE (OFFICERS) - NO 28

Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Advance Course conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the guidance of the Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (Dte of Leg Svcs HR & IHL) from 07 October 2024 to 30 October 2024 was completed successfully.
