The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Basic Course was commenced on 15 August 2022 at IPSOTSL under the direction and guidance of Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
The course consisted with twenty officers including fifteen officers from the Sri Lanka Army, three officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, two officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, and 47 Other Ranks from the tri services. The main aim of the course was to enhance the knowledge of junior level officers and NCOs regarding the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.

Australian and Sri Lankan Armed Forces Joint Training programme on United Nations Peacekeeping conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka from 25 March 2019 to 28 March 2019.
