The Officers’ Training Day of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was successfully conducted on 27 February 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa, under the patronage of the Colonel of the Regiment and the General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, Major General AMC Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc. The event was attended by senior officers and officers of the Regiment.
The programme commenced with an informative lecture titled “Work Smart with AI,” delivered by Mr. Dinesh Thilakarathna from the E-Birth Business Academy. The session highlighted the increasing relevance of artificial intelligence in modern professional environments and emphasized practical approaches to enhancing productivity and decision-making.
In the evening, a friendly officers’ cricket tournament was held, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and regimental spirit among participants.
The day’s proceedings concluded with a formal Diners’ Club at the Officers’ Mess. The occasion featured a timely and thought-provoking lecture titled “Inner Compass, Outer Impact: Leading from the Soul,” delivered by Brigadier MMT Bandara USP AUSWC psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy.
The Officers’ Training Day served as a valuable platform for professional development, knowledge sharing, and strengthening regimental cohesion, supporting the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment’s steadfast commitment to excellence in leadership and service.
