SLSR Col of the Regiment Continues Battalion Visits

Major General Priyatha Jayawardena, Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) recently visited 2(V) SLSR in Kandy and 3(V) SLSR in Nuwara Eliya.

During the visit to 2 (V) SLSR, the Colonel of the Regiment was honoured with the guard turnout after being welcomed by the Commanding officer of the Battalion.

Meantime, Major General Priyantha Jayawardena addressed the troops and explained his vision to words the betterment of Officers and Other Ranks in the Regiment.

Similarly, at the visit of 3(V) SLSR in Nuwara Eliya the chief guest was honoured with the military honoured guard turnout by the troops at the entrance.

Afterwards, the colonel of the regiment visited the ongoing construction projects and marked the opening of the “Topas” farm gate. Sametime inquired about ongoing constructions and the renovations of the camp premises followed by laying the foundation stone for the proposed welfare complex and gave necessary instructions to carry out to gain the best outcomes with effectiveness and efficiency.

Mrs Omila Jayawardena, President SLSR Seva Vanitha Unit, Brigadier Chaminda Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant and a few senior Officers joined the visit.
