Northwestern open archery championship 2023 was held at the Royal International College ground in Kurunegala, during 21-22 January with the participation of hundreds of competitors.
Lance Corporal Galahitiyawa GGS RSP and Lance Corporal Ruwan Kumara KGBN of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment headquarter battalion participated in the 30 meters event and won 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
To appreciate the achievements of the competitors, Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre commandant SLSR summoned them to his office and awarded tokens of appreciation on 22 January 2023.
Senior Officers including, Lieutenant Colonel Kamal Gnanarathna, the Commanding officer of headquarter battalion SLSR, second in command and a few other ranks attend the venue.
