17(v) SLSR Troops Constructed a House for Needy Family

Troops of 17 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment(SLSR) of 562 Brigade and 56 Division under command to Security Forces Wanni constructed a house for a needy family in Bharathipuram. They handed it over to the beneficiaries during a simple ceremony held on 9 December 2022.

Philanthropists in the area provided financial aid for the construction of the house. Troops of the 17 (v) SLSR battalion provided their manpower and technical skills under the direction of the commander, security Forces Wanni.

The Commanding Officer of the battalion closely supervised the project.

General Officer Commanding of the 56 Division, the 562 Brigade Commander and a few senior officers attended the event.
