Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment appreciated and wished the Regimental PACES team on 27 June 2022 at his office at the Regimental Centre SLSR at Ambepussa. The team is to participate in the selection competitions for the forthcoming International Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) competition.
Regimental preparations are underway to select and finalize the best physically sound teams of the Army to take part in the International Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) Competition (2022)
The Inter Regiment PACES competition will be conducted in the near future at APTS Panagoda and Panaluwa Field Firing Range with the participation of Regimental teams and those competitions, are inclusive of, Pull-Ups, 30-minute Sit-ups, 30-minute Push-ups, 3.2 km Run, Combat Efficiency Test (CET) including few events and firing are held.
The PACES, designed and hosted by the Pakistan Army annually invites Sri Lanka and other friendly countries to take part in the competitions.
