7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) became the champion of the Inter Battalion Basketball Tournament - 2022 organized by 23 SLSR and held at the Basketball court in the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (RC SLSR) Ambepussa during 6-9 May 2022.
Teams under the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment competed for the Championship during the tournament. The winning trophy was secured by the 7 SLSR team while pushing the 23 SLSR team to be the Runners-up.
Corporal M. A. J. I Navarathna of the 7 SLSR secured the award for the Best Player while the Recruit D. G. S. D Gunasekara of the 23 SLSR received the Best Defender of the tournament
The tournament was organized under the direction of Major Wasantha Munasinghe, Commanding Officer (CO) 23 SLSR.
Colonel Dulitha Perera, Deputy Centre Commandant RC SLSR attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and distributed the prizes to the winners.
Staff Officers of the RC SLSR, Officers, and soldiers were present at the venue.
