14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops of 641 Infantry Brigade under command to the 64 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) coordinated the donation of a stock of school shoes to a total of 265 under-privileged students at Mu/Pandaravanniyan Maha Vidyalaya in the general area of Katchilaimadu in Oddusudan on 07 January 2022.
The donation was made possible following the sponsorship provided by the philanthropist and coordinated by Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Security Force Commander (MLT).
265 school kids received those new school shoes during an arrangement made at Mu/Pandaravanniyan Maha Vidyalaya.
Major General U.P.R Weerakoon, General Officer Commanding, 64 Division together with Brigadier D.P.J.C Jayawardane, Commander 641 Infantry Brigade and Major S.I Prasanna, Commanding Officer of the 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment closely directed and supervised the event.
