Troops of 21 SLSR Extends Support to Construct One More New House

During a simple warming ceremony on Thursday (11) March 2021, a newly build house in Katukenda, Badalgama was vested to a differently able War Hero who retired from the Army through medical board.

Financial grants provided jointly by the Directorate of Veterans Affairs and the Sinha Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment enabled to put up this house considering the need of differently able war hero and his family members, Corporal L.G. S Pushpakumara of 21 SLSR who was living in Katukenda village.

To be in line with the conceptual guidance of General Shavendra Silva, Commander of the Army to this effect, the RC SLSR too has embarked on constructing as many houses as possible for families of fallen War Heroes and differently able soldiers with the support of the Army HQ.

Mrs. Shiromi Bandara, president SLSR Seva Vanitha Unit, together with the 21 SLSR Commanding Officer cut a ribbon, observed rites and rituals, and warmed the new house that cost about Rs 1.5 million.
