Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment bid a farewell to its outgoing 20th Regimental Sergeant Major S/363098 WO 1 MG Samaranayake USP on 09th January 2020 who retired after serving more than 22 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. Ceremony was held in its customary way at Regimental Headquarters, Ambepussa.
A Guard of Honour presented by SLSR troops to WO 1 MG Samaranayake USP at the Parade Regimental Grounds. He also paid a tribute to the Fallen SLSR War heroes at SLSR War Heroes Monument. After all Ranks tea party, the day's event also textured with the Farewell Dinner hosted in honour of the outgoing Regimental Sergeant by Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Regiment.
