COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT IN HIS FORMAL UNIT VISIT TO 1,4,18(v),19(v) BATTALIONS

Major General Piyal Wickramaratne Colonel of the Regiment on Tuesday (24) making his third stage of formal visit to the 18 SLSR Varthavilan, Kankasanthurai, 19 SLSR Ellankulam, Jaffna, 1 SLSR Paranthan and 4 SLSR Murukkandi Kilinochchi.

Colonel of the Regiment visited Kokavil war memorial , Elephant pass war memorial and floral tribute to the fallen War Hero’s on his way to 18 SLSR Kankasanthurai.

All four CO’s warmly welcomed visiting Colonel of the Regiment at respective battalion Head Quarters and in conformity with Military formalities, Guard Turnout presented by all four battalions troops and greeted the day’s Chief Guest.

According to the visiting program Colonel of the Regiment attended with tree planting, CO’s briefing, troops address and appeared for a photograph at all four battalions.
