In another gesture of welfare, thousands of troops of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment including differently able soldiers would enjoy their own Nano Car service for their personal transport requirements.
The novel project launched on a proposal initiated by the Colonel of the Regiment Major General A P de Z Wickramaratne RWP ndu psc. This project saves the costly transport expenditure of Regimental staff.
This requirement was highly demanded by the Regimental staff and it was correctly identified by the Colonel of the Regiment. As a result of that two Nano Cars were purchased by Regimental Funds and released to fulfill their requirement.
During a simple ceremony on Wednesday (7) attended by the Colonel of the Regiment, the Centre Commandant, Officers and Other Ranks, the inaugurate service was launched at the Regimental Centre, Ambepussa.
