WORLD CHAMPION SHOOTERS FELICITATES AT REGIMENTAL CENTRE
The Lions who excelled the Motherland & Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at the recently held International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union (IMSSU) Championship Tournament - 2016 were felicitated by Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment during an event held at the Regimental Headquarters on 01st August 2016.
Brigadier DSD Welikala WWV RWP RSP USP (Team Captain) & Captain PJKS Gayanga (Team Member) from Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment participated for this championship with Sri Lankan National Shooting Team. Sri Lanka became the world champions in Small Bore Light Rifle and Small Bore Silhouette Rifle categories, and won the Bronze Medal in the Big Bore Rifle category, wining 38 medals in the IMSSU World Championship - 2016.
The Col of the Regiment Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc extending his warm greetings on their achievements & congratulated their future endeavors. Finally gave away the cash prizes worth of Rs.50000.00 each.
Brigadier BAL Rathnayake, Centre Commandant SLSR, Colonel PASP Wijayagunathilaka USP, Deputy Centre Commandant SLSR and Regimental Staff Officers and Other Rankers participated in the occasion.
