\r\nThe Regimental Headquarers of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment commemorated fallen war heroes on 20th and 21st of Dec 2014, giving pride of place to next of kin and children of war heroes.\r\n\r\nLt Gen RMD Ratnayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc, Commander of the Army attended the occasion as the Chief Guest on the invitation of Colonel of the Regiment Maj Gen MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc. The event organized for the 26th consecutive year, paid floral tributes to the SLSR memorial at the premises and transferred merits to 143 Officers and 3719 Other Rankers who made supreme sacrifice while defending the country\'s territorial integrity.\r\n\r\nLater on, the Commander distributed gift parcels among disable war heroes and declared opened the newly-constructed two storied building at the Officers’ Mess. The ceremony was culminated with an overnight Pirith followed by an alms giving ceremony on 21st morning. \r\n\r\nRetired Senior SLSR Officers, Senior Serving Officers and a large gathering of Officers and Other Ranks were also participated for the occasion.
