Veterans of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment in Kandy and Mathale districts came together at the 2nd (Volunteer) Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Kandy on 27 January 2024. Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander Security Force Wanni and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment graced the occasion as the chief guest.
During the gathering, the Colonel of the Regiment warmly welcomed the veterans and addressed the assembly. The intention of the Gathering was to solve the issues of veterans and strengthen the bond. The event unfolded with a delightful tea and a sumptuous lunch as well.
This inaugural gathering marked the commencement of the year and this will be continued island wide for the betterment of the veterans of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, guided by the visionary concept of the Colonel of the Regiment and under the supervision of Brigadier CS Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
