Coincide with the Christmas 11 Volunteer Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a Christmas Carol and musical night on the 27 December 2022 evening at St. Francis of Assis Church, Kurukkalmadam in Batticaloa.
In the meantime, distributed gift packs among the children of the Kaleiwani children's home and the Assis Illam children's home at Kurukkalmadam with the assistance of philanthropists in the area.
Brigadier Dieepa Bandara, Commander 231 Infantry Brigade graced the occasion as the Chief Guest where school children and a number of civilians attended.
A large gathering, including Rev. Fr Ambrose, Commanding Officer 11 (V) SLSR Major Nimal Padmasiri, Officers, Other Ranks and civilians, enjoyed Carols and the musical night, presented by the 11 (V) SLSR Band.
