Brigadier AP Pallawela RWP RSP assumed office as the 25th Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) on Monday (19) during a formal military formalities held at the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at Ambepussa.
As a symbolic gesture of taking over the duties, Brigadier AP Pallawela RWP RSP placed his signature in a formal document symbolizing the assumption of duties as the Centre Commandant in the presence of staff officers and ORs of SLSR, after brief religious observances.
The Centre Commandant during his address extended his gratitude to all ranks for warm reception being accorded to him. He highlighted that he looks forward to serve the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment which has a proud history of 61 years, and a sapling was planted by the Centre Commandant to mark the occasion.
Programme of the day concluded with a brief discussion of the Centre Commandant with all Officers present, at the Mini Auditorium.
