SLSR Young Cougars Re-United

The reunion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Young Cougars club was held this morning (11) at the Regimental Centre SLSR in Ambepussa.

The welcome address of the event was conducted by Maj Tharindu Fernando, Coordinator SLSR Young Cougars club and subsequently the traditional oil lamp was lit by the attendees.

The day's session was inaugurated with the appointment of new office bearers to the young cougars club. According to the virtue of appointment of Colonel of the Regiment of SLSR and traditions Ms, Chamathi Jayawardena was appointed as the chairperson of the club and Other office bearers including vice president, secretary, vice secretary, treasurer and public relation Officer were selected by the attendees

Similarly, the Newly appointed young cougars president addressed the gathering and explained the aims and objectives of the club towards the effective and efficient achievements.

Adding significance to the reunion of the SLSR Young Cougars club Mrs Omila Jayawardena, President SLSR Seva Vanitha Branch donated RS 50,000 to the newly appointed president of young cougars for its future projects.

Meantime, after all the formalities of the sessions a special lecture was conducted to the young cougars by Mr Gamini Jayasoriya ,veteran Career Guidance counselor on career guidance of prospects. All the participants attended the session with much enthusiasm and shared their experiences with others.

A few regimental senior officers, Staff Officers and Other Ranks assist the young cougars in the success of the event.
