SLSR Veterans Have Their Day at Regimental Centre

The day’s event, named ‘Retrospect of Legends’ commenced after the gathering paid tribute to the memory of all fallen SLSR War Heroes at the Regimental Monument. The octogenarian, Major General Jaliya Nammuni (Rtd) RSP VSV USP whose birthday also fell on the same day (6 Sept) placed the first floral wreath and paid his tribute.

The occasion turned more entertaining as SLSR dancing troupes added colour and glamour during this rare get-together, conceptualized by Major General G.R.R.P Jayawardana RWP RSP ndu, Colonel of the Regiment SLSR and Quarter Master General of the Sri Lanka Army.

Brig C.S Thibbotuge, Centre Commandant, SLSR coordinated and organized the event that added undying memories to those retired officers who had made the SLSR proud and dignified during their tenures of office.

At the same time, junior level SLSR officers had the privilege of sharing and exchanging views with those Senior Officers who had rendered an invaluable service to the SLSR Regiment before their retirement from service.
