SLSR RHQ Marked 1st Working Day of the Year

Amidst formalities, warm wishes, and exchange of hearty pleasantries, the Regimental Headquarters at the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) in Ambepussa greeted the first working day in the New Year 2023 with the customary flag-raising, reading of the state allegiance oath, recital of the national anthem, the Army song, and the Regimental song and interactions as major features of the day’s simple arrangement on Monday (2) morning.

The day’s proceedings commenced with the arrival of Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant as the Chief Guest. To mark the start, Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant, and Colonel, Vajira Amarasiri Deputy Centre Commandant hoisted the National flag and the Regimental flag respectively as the day's parade of Senior Officers and Other Ranks looked on.

Singing of the National Anthem and the Regimental Song by all presented afterward set the stage ready to pay tribute to the memory of all fallen War Heroes with a two-minute silence in a solemn moment of remembrance. The day’s sequence reached its apex with the presentation of the state allegiance oath by the Staff Officer 2 Administration.

Afterward, the center Commandant Addressed the gathering and enlighten all with new year blessings and the responsibilities as protectors of the nation.
