The maiden harvest of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Snake Gourd cultivation in Regimental centre Ambepussa was reaped this morning (20) with the presence of Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
This Snake Gourd cultivation project was initiated with the Direction of Major General Priyantha Jayawardena, Quarter Master General and Colonel of the Regiment SLSR.
The heaped harvest is expected to export to strengthen the economy by generating foreign currencies.
A Few Senior Officers including Colonel Wajira Amarasiri, Deputy Centre Commandant SLSR attend the event.
