SLSR Colonel of the Regiment Visits – 1st Battalion SLSR

Major General Priyantha Jayawardena conducted his second visit to 1st Battalion SLSR located in RC - SLSR, Ambepussa on Wednesday (16) after assumed duties as the Colonel of the Regiment.

The visiting of Colonel of the Regiment was welcome by the Lt Col Sujeewa Samarasinghe, Commanding Officer -1st Battalion SLSR at the entrance to the Battalion HQ an invited to review the military honored guard turnout presented by the Troops.

Major General Priyantha Jayawardena planted a Mango sapling at the Camp premises to mark the visit significant of the day is visit and subsequently listened the briefing conducted by the Commanding Officer on his Battalion present Responsibilities entrusted.

During the Troop address, Colonel of the Regiment highlighted the important of maintain high standard discipline and training of Troops in the Battalion. Further he emphasis the important of training of the Troops in the Battalion.

Further he inquired and closely inspected the living areas Office Premises and the lay out of the Battalion during his visit.

Days proceedings concluded with the Exchange of memento followed by signing of Visitors’ book in the Battalion. Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Center Commandant RC SLSR, Lt Col Sujeewa Dissanayake, GSO I RC- SLSR and other Officers’ attended to the visit.
