Brigadier Nishantha Muthumala, Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment visited Headquarter battalion and 1 SLSR Battalions located in Regimental Centre Ambepussa before he relinquished his appointment as centre commandant on 11 and 14 March respectively.
During the visits, the Commanding officers of the Battalions warmly welcomed and awarded traditional military honours with guard turnout to the outgoing centre Commandant.
Brigadier NIshantha Muthumala, addressed the troops including officers during the visits and thanked all for the cooperation and coordination during his tenure and wished them all for a bright future.
At the end of the visit, the centre commandant made comments on visitors’ books in the battalions to mark the significant day.
Lieutenant Colonel Kamal Gnanaratha, Commanding Officer Headquarters Battalion SLSR, Lieutenant Colonel Sri Samaraingha, Commanding Officer 1 SLSR,and a few Staff officers of RHQ attend the venue.
