Major General M P Karunarathne made his maiden visits to the 14 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 01 February 2021 after assuming duties as the General Officer Commanding of the 64 Division.
On arrival at the 14 SLSR Battalion Headquarters on Monday (01), the visiting General Officer Commanding (GOC) was received by the Commanding Officer 14 SLSR Major Charith Ethuldoraarachchi. Subsequently, the GOC was briefed on the deployment, threat perceptions, and routine operations in the Battalion Area of Responsibility by the Commanding Officer 14 SLSR.
Symbolizing his camp visits, the GOC 64 Division planted a sapling at the camp premises of 14 SLSR and addressed the troops afterwards.
