Disabled athletes of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment who participated for the 1st Malaysian Open Para Athletics championship the final qualification competition for 2012 London Para Olympics were able to bring glory to Mother Lanka by wining many events. Lance Corporal Sanjaya UPA won gold medals in both 200m and 400m running events setting a new Asian record in 200m. Lance Corporal Wijitha Bandara KMS was able to become 4th in Javelin throw event.
