With the aim of identifying war hero families in Kegalle district, in relation to their issues such as missing in actions, disabled, and those who have left the army particularly wounded in Action or medical board , one day workshop was conducted under the patronage of the Directorate of Rehabilitation, Veteran Affairs and jointly by the all directorate of the Sri Lanka Army on 26 January 2022 at Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Ambepussa.
The Workshop commenced with the welcome speech by Lieutenant Colonel D. D. P. S Dassanayake, Staff Officer I, Veterans Affairs at Regimental Centre SLSR. Later, Brigadier I. H. M. T. H Senarathna, Director of Directorate of Rehabilitation address the audience and he explained the real requirement of the workshop and what benefits they would get from the workshop.
All directorates of the Sri Lanka Army Jointly represent the workshop to identify the war veterans’ issues and give solutions for them to enhance their lifestyle. The workshop was facilitated by the troops of Headquarter Battalion of the Regimental Center Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Brigadier P. D. A. G Senadeera, Deputy Director Directorate of Rehabilitation, Major L. M. K. S Ganarathna, Commanding Officer Headquarter Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Officers, Lady Officers, Soldiers, and war veterans participated in the workshop.
