Farewell Ceremony to 23rd Regimental Sergeant Major

Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment bid a farewell to its outgoing 23rd Regimental Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer I Chandana Kumara Premarathna on 25th February 2022 who retired after serving more than 22 years in the Regular Force of the Sri Lanka Army. The ceremony was held in its customary way at Regimental Centre, Ambepussa.

A Guard of Honour was presented by SLSR troops to WO I Chandana Kumara Premarathna at the Regimental Parade Ground. He also paid a tribute to the Fallen War heroes at SLSR War Heroes Monument. Later, Brigadier Viraj Wimalasena, Center Commandant RC SLSR presented the token of appreciation on behalf of all ranks of the Regimental Centre. After, all Ranks tea party, the day's event also textured with the Farewell Lunch hosted in honour of the outgoing Regimental Sergeant Major by Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the Regiment.
