Colonel of the Regiment Visits 11th and 14th Battalions

Major General JKR Jayakody RWP USP, Deputy Commander Security Forces (West) and Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) conducted an official visit to the 11 (V) SLSR and 14 SLSR on 29 and 30 June 2025.

During the visit, Colonel of the Regiment inspected the operational readiness and administrative efficiency of the battalions, visiting the 11th (V) Battalion SLSR in Batticaloa and the 14th Battalion SLSR in Pottuvil. The Commanding Officers of both battalions extended a warm welcome to the Colonel of the Regiment, adhering to the military traditions, and provided detailed briefings on the functioning and operational status of their respective battalions.

Meantime, Major General Rohan Jayakody briefed his vision to the Commanding Officers, officers and other troops and provided necessary instructions including training, discipline, security concerns and nations building for uplifting the battalion standards in all aspects. Furthermore, he highlighted the role of the battalions in contributing to nation-building efforts, encouraging a strong commitment to the country’s development while upholding the highest standards across all aspects of military service.

Brigadier H A I Perera RWP RSP USP ndc, the Centre Commandant of the SLSR, along with several staff officers from the Regimental Centre, also took part in the visit.
